What we are looking for


DICE is seeking a Senior UI Artist (Temporary Full-Time, 18 months) reporting directly to the Lead UI Artist specialising in 2D art asset creation. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled and collaborative creative with a proven track record of delivering exceptional UI/2D art for AAA games. You are passionate about pushing visual quality, thrive in a fast-paced, iterative environment, and excel at both technical execution and cross-disciplinary teamwork. Your expertise in 2D and 3D art pipelines, motion graphics and UI art will help shape the visual identity of one of the industry’s most iconic franchises.


Key Responsibilities


  • Define, create, and maintain 2D art benchmarks in alignment with approved art direction

  • Develop rock solid 2D art pipelines that help us deliver assets on time and within budget

  • Use Blender and the Substance tools to create 3D assets required for us to ship best-in-class 2D art

  • Create animated comps using After Effects with both 2D and 3D aspects and visual effects to produce motion graphics that will excite and engage our players

  • Work directly in Photoshop, Illustrator and Figma to collaborate and deliver best-in-class UI art where needed

  • Export and optimize production-ready art for the game engine, ensuring assets match concept intent and technical requirements

  • Test and validate new tools and techniques to continually raise the quality bar of 2D art production


Skills & Qualifications


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience shipping AAA-quality UI art for video games, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your expertise

  • Solid understanding of typography, layout, color, visual hierarchy, and motion principles

  • Strong understanding of 2D and 3D lighting techniques and material properties to achieve desired visual tone and atmosphere

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and articulate creative work to stakeholders confidently and professionally

  • Track record of effectively incorporating feedback from art / presentation directors, and engaging in iterative development processes

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming artistic and technical challenges

  • Adaptability and openness to feedback in a dynamic, fast-paced development environment

  • Prior experience working in the game engine, with technical knowledge to support implementation and test in software is highly desirable

  • Prior experience working on first-person shooters and/or familiarity with the Battlefield franchise is highly desirable
