The intern will report to a PM/ SPM and work closely with game designers, developers, artists, analysts, user researchers, and marketing teams to help us understand our audiences, shape how we communicate with players, and support campaigns that introduce more people to our games and encourage existing players to keep coming back.

In this role, the intern will support the development and improvement of game features, live events, progression systems, monetization experiences, and player journeys. It will use a combination of player feedback, market research, game data, and structured problem-solving to identify opportunities and help the team make better product decisions.

Responsibilities:

  •  Product and Creative Collaboration

    • Collaborate with analysts, designers, engineers and artists to gather inputs, scope product requirements and communicate decisions to stakeholders.

    • Support product managers in defining features, events, progression systems, social features, and monetization experiences.

    • Participate in playtests, design reviews, sprint planning, and feature retrospectives.

    • Create product collaterals to document learnings, and support teams in tracking feature scope, development progress & utilization.

  • Campaigns and Game Launches

    • Help develop player communication journeys across push notifications, email, social media, community channels, and in-game messages.

    • Support the planning and execution of campaigns for new features, events, content updates, and game launches.

    • Help create campaign briefs that define the audience, player insight, message, channels, and success metrics.

    • Contribute ideas for social media content, creator partnerships, in-game messaging, app-store promotions, and community activations.

    • Support A/B tests across messages, creative concepts, channels, offers, and audience segments.

  • Market Research:

    • Conduct competitor research & emerging trends to identify growth opportunities and propose product features to game leads.

  • Player Insights:

    • Analyze game telemetry data to understand player behavior across areas such as onboarding, progression, retention, engagement, conversion, and monetization.

    • Identify drop-offs, friction points, and underserved player needs within the game.

    • Understand player persona and expectations based on qualitative data from surveys, app-store reviews, community channels, customer support, and social media.

Must have:

  • Interest in games and understanding games as a business

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Structured problem-solving and analytical thinking.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.

Good to have:

  • Experience with SQL, Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or another analytics tool.

  • Experience creating surveys, analyzing customer feedback, or conducting user research.

  • Experience participating in gaming communities, esports, game jams, fandoms, creator communities, or student clubs.

  • Independently analyze a player or product problem and recommend potential solutions.

  • Contribute to at least one feature, event, experiment, or product improvement from discovery through evaluation.

  • Produce clear product documentation that helps cross-functional teams make decisions.
