Business Planning Analyst II Job Summary: The Business Planning Analyst II supports the Global Planning organization through disciplined execution of demand planning and integrated business planning processes. This role is responsible for maintaining recurring reporting, validating data integrity, supporting planning cycles, and coordinating cross-functional deliverables across Commercial, Finance, FP&A, and partner teams. This individual serves as a key operational member by ensuring  forecast validation outputs, and process documentation are accurate, timely, and actionable. In addition to supporting core planning rhythms, the role also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives across reporting, systems, and AI-enabled self-service capabilities. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, process discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across a matrixed organization. Responsibilities: Data Quality, Systems & Testing Support ● Co-lead business-side testing and UAT readiness for Anaplan Demand Planning, ensuring the solution is evaluated against real planning use cases as well as technical functionality. ● Perform and coordinate reconciliations, logic testing, and issue resolution across systems and reporting layers to improve confidence in planning outputs. ● Support implementation and testing of planning tools, including participation in user acceptance testing (UAT), validation of business requirements, and readiness activities for rollout. ● Serve as part of the testing team for system integrations, helping validate data flows and connections across planning, forecasting, and related source systems. ● Support governance of standardized metrics and reporting rules to ensure dashboards, reports, and self-service outputs reflect approved business logic. ● Help validate revenue-related data, logic, and outputs used in planning and revenue management processes. Knowledge Layer & Integrated Insights ● Support the continued expansion of the Knowledge Layer as a trusted foundation for planning metrics, reporting logic, and business insights. ● Validate outputs with business users so there is trust in the numbers and clarity on how metrics are defined. ● Support QBR/QMR, launch, live-service, and quarterly planning moments where consistent planning data is needed. ● Use the existing Knowledge Layer design to support Lumina Phase 2 A/B and related reporting needs where appropriate. ● Reduce duplicated reporting logic and reliance on offline files, making it easier for teams to work from the same source of truth. ● Support governance of standardized metrics and reporting rules so dashboards, reports, and self-service outputs reflect approved business logic. AI Enablement & Knowledge Layer Support ● Support the development of an AI-enabled Knowledge Layer experience that helps users get answers from trusted planning data more quickly. ● Partner with Technology team, XO AI, EAIT, and business stakeholders to test AI chat and natural-language query capabilities against the Knowledge Layer. ● Validate whether users can get accurate, explainable answers for common planning questions, report navigation, and recurring business reviews. ● Identify where the AI experience can reduce manual follow-up, repeated data pulls, or ad hoc explanation requests. ● Document examples, prompts, known limitations, and use cases that can be reused as the capability develops. ● Keep final business judgment with the Planning teams, especially for forecast narratives, variance explanations, and leadership-facing readouts. Qualifications & Skills Performance Skills ● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and follow-through. ● Ability to manage recurring deadlines and execute consistently in a fast-paced planning environment. ● Comfortable working cross-functionally in a matrixed organization with global stakeholders. ● Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear summaries and process documentation. ● Organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and surface issues early. ● Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to translate process pain points into practical solutions. Technical Skills ● Advanced Excel skills, including data validation, modeling, and report creation. ● Experience with planning and reporting tools such as Tableau, Demantra, Power BI, or comparable systems. ● Ability to work across multiple data sources and validate data consistency in short timeframes. ● Ability to use technology to improve processes and reduce manual work. ● Comfortable creating structured decks, templates, and reporting files for business stakeholders. Education / Experience ● Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, analytics, engineering, or related field preferred. ● Relevant experience in sales analysis, demand planning, commercial operations, business planning, or financial/reporting support. ● Experience supporting forecast cycles, business reviews, or recurring planning processes preferred. ● Experience supporting reporting automation, self-service analytics, or AI-enabled business workflows is a plus.
