Jamdat, a company EA acquired in 2006, originally founded EA's Romanian base in 2005. Since then, EA has located additional teams in Romania capitalizing on Bucharest's abundance of highly educated and skilled talent. EA Romania is now home to one of our most successful sports franchise development teams as well as our testing team and includes corporate functions such as Finance, IT and HR. In total, there are approximately 1000 employees consistently demonstrating an exceptional talent for bringing world-class games to the global market place.
The Testing Division is dedicated to testing a number of EA's key franchises, such as Battlefield 3, Need for Speed, and Bejeweled, on a range of platforms. Our testers make sure that the products EA releases are of the highest quality possible; they verify aspects of the games from the very first icon that can be seen to the deepest graphical details and mechanics that make a game fun. Their dedication and hard work has brought appreciation and recognition from gamers all over the world who can enjoy high-quality games.
EA Romania proudly hosts one of the teams behind EA SPORTS FIFA, the most popular sports video game franchise in the world. In Bucharest, alongside our flagship studio in Burnaby, Canada, an army of top software engineers, artists and game designers develop FIFA games for multiple platforms.
