With approximately 100 employees from around 20 different nationalities, Geneva is home to EA's International Publishing headquarters and a representation of functions from Marketing (EA Sports, EA Games & Maxis), Finance, Sales, HR & IT. The team oversees a vast array of publishing activities including regional marketing, sales, distribution and logistics. It is also responsible for creating some of the world-class sales & marketing campaigns that fuel our company's success across a range of diverse & unique territories, each with its own culture and each requiring different messages and means of distribution.
The team is based in a beautifully refurbished five storey building (formerly home to a well-known Swiss bank) just a stone's throw from the cobbled streets of Place du Molard in the heart of the city. The building comes complete with a massive walk-in basement vault that has been turned into a state of the art conference room/ presentation theatre. The old 45cm thick vault door still remains in tact and acts as reminder of the riches that were once housed here under lock & key. When EA refurbished the building in 2006, it took a diamond studded drill 3 days to bore through the one metre thick wall to create an additional emergency exit that was required by law!
Modern Italian furniture & quirky interior design mingles with classic Swiss architecture to create a work environment unrivalled anywhere else in Geneva. With consoles on every floor and a yellow duck in every toilet, the environment is friendly and inviting, and often plays host to little EAers who come to visit their parents in the "real" world.
EA Geneva's prime location means that staff never run out of options to be entertained. Many of the city's top restaurants, bars, shops and the lake are close to hand, and in summer street musicians fill the air with tunes (admittedly not always of high quality) from South-American panpipes to the man and his cat's mobile organ. If it is coffee they are after then staff need not travel further than the first floor where arguable the best coffee machine in the EA World churns out hundreds of espressos, macchiatos, lattes and cappuccinos daily.
Geneva itself consistently ranks as one of the world's best cities in terms of overall quality of life. The city offers an abundance of rich and diverse cultural, leisure, and sports opportunities with EA staff regularly seen water-skiing on the lake during the warmer months and hitting the local slopes (Chamonix is only 50 mins away) during the Winter ski season.
Our teams also benefit from range of training and development opportunities, cutting-edge tools and technologies, superior leadership, team-building, and best-practice advice, and most importantly a fun, creative environment. The team in Geneva regularly gets together to be involved in EA themed activities.
So in summary, if you are looking to work in a friendly, multi-cultural and diverse environment with highly talented industry leading professionals, in a fun and cutting-edge industry and all that in one of the world's best cities to live in... then EA Geneva is for you.
