Austin

Austin, the "Live Music Capital of the World", is home to SXSW, GDC, BBQ, and four great EA offices - BioWare, Pogo Adventures, EA's World Wide Customer Experience (WWCE) and EA Information Technology (IT) businesses. Austin's unofficial slogan of "Keep Austin Weird" helps foster a fun and creative environment that draws talented people from all over the world. Whether it's enjoying live music on a summer night, swimming in the Barton Springs swimming hole, watching the bats dance from beneath the Congress Avenue Bridge, or buying custom boots in the SoCo district, Austin always has new possibilities to discover and explore.

Austin's population nearly doubles every 20 years - a city of growth, change, and innovation. Thanks to the technology boom, Austin offers a high quality of life combined with a moderate cost of living. As it's grown, Austin has become a hub for games, creativity, education, and green living.

EA's Austin offices:

Austin IT - What does it take to provide IT support for a worldwide company committed to staying on the cutting edge of technology? It takes a dedicated, creative, and innovative team of IT professionals, many of whom work in the brand new Austin location that houses both IT and WWCE. Our IT team delivers secure, on-demand solutions and services to EA employees and development teams, helping us move at the lightning-fast pace of the modern gaming industry.

BioWare - The BioWare Austin studio is currently hard at work on Star Wars: The Old Republic, our massively multiplayer online game. At E3 2010, Star Wars: The Old Republic earned 44 nominations and 31 wins, including Best RPG from the Game Critics Awards, Best in Show from G4, Best RPG from USA Today, and #1 Trailer from WIRED. The Austin studio always remembers to put the "fun" in fun and games: poker nights are held regularly and popcorn Wednesdays are a BioWare tradition.

Pogo Adventures - Pogo is building a brand new gaming studio in Austin, Texas. This studio will be responsible for Pogo's upcoming suite of next generation casual games. These games will be using Pogo's classic IP, but completely re-imagining these titles for IOS and Android Tablet devices. Pogo will be using a 2D/3D game style to take casual gaming on high-end tablet devices to the next level. Now is the time to get in on the beginning of a new gaming studio that is integrated with one of EA's most successful and profitable divisions.

Worldwide Customer Experience - The Worldwide Customer Experience team has a singular vision: deliver the world's best customer experience for the world's best games. Our customer experience headquarters in Austin is the global hub for our team, and provides support to customers 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. In-tandem with our Galway team, the Austin group manages our Customer Experience worldwide as we create innovative new ways to support customers playing all EA titles, including Battlefield, FIFA, SimCity and The Sims.
