EA is a giant that can support different directions of development, has a large pool of talented people and one of the solid and long lived gaming companies in the world. Besides that you're automatically cool when you say you work at EA :)
Visual aspect of gaming is incredibly rewarding you can get an immediate feedback from what you've built right away.
People are the gold of EA. I'm happy to work with talented and at the same time laid back individuals. I'm always striving for technical improvement which I encourage in the team as well, so job always allows enough room to go out of the comfort zone for me and everyone around me. Strategy is important when a big team is involved so thinking quick and in different directions is extremely satisfying.
Also, just because we are not building air traffic controllers we get to experiment and play with different development and project flow techniques which otherwise would be set in stone in more 'serious' development fields. The nature of the industry allows us to succeed or fail and learn from our mistakes.
I'm a technical manager @ EA Mobile. The work flow in our team is fast paced and there are always multiple projects running in parallel. My job is to make sure that the development team has everything they need (tools, documentation, support from other teams and external studios) to code in peace and that the code is properly structured.
I also make sure that every person is challenged and growing technically so in the future the team is able to tackle a variety of difficult projects and we have happy developers that love coming in to work.
Life at EA is filled with action, blazing fast and very collaborative. Nothing gets done by just one individual. Creative solutions is what saves the day most of the time. We work together and play together. We get to enjoy good working conditions and when problems arise everyone is ready to help.

My current position is fantastically rewarding. Since I'm always looking to learn more and influence development process. My next step will fall into a role of a technical director.
Favorite game: StarCraft, I'm still waiting for Blizzard to move on the second one, and Half life of course. Favorite entertainment: playing music, listening to music, getting out of the city into the wild.
