We are Full Circle, and we're all about having fun and making great games that people want to play with their friends. As the developers of Skate™, we are set to provide an experience that embraces and builds upon everything our community found special about the previous games. We believe in creating an inclusive world inside and outside of our games for our players and our team.

We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to architect and build a complete web application within a 12-week timeline. You'll work with existing BigQuery data infrastructure to create a scalable platform that serves competitive stats and leaderboards to thousands of players.

We are looking for someone who can work independently and bring their own ideas to the project.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

  • Design and implement REST APIs for player stats and leaderboards
  • Build automated data aggregation pipelines from BigQuery to application database
  • Implement efficient caching strategies for real-time leaderboard updates
  • Design database schema optimized for leaderboard queries
  • Set up monitoring, logging, and error handling for production deployment

Frontend Development

  • Build responsive web application using modern JavaScript framework
  • Implement real-time leaderboard updates and player stat visualizations
  • Create seamless social sharing functionality for multiple platforms
  • Develop mobile-responsive design that works across all devices
  • Optimize performance for fast loading and smooth user experience
  • Integrate with backend APIs

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • 5+ years full stack development experience with proven track record of shipping products
  • Expert proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
  • Strong backend experience with Node.js, Python, or similar
  • Experience with SQL databases and query optimization
  • Familiarity with BigQuery or similar data warehouse technologies
  • Experience with RESTful API design and implementation

Project Experience

  • Successfully delivered projects under tight deadlines
  • Experience building applications that handle real-time data updates
  • Previous work on leaderboards, analytics dashboards, or social features
  • Experience integrating with external APIs and third-party services
  • Portfolio demonstrating clean, scalable code architecture

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $96,400 - $133,900 CAD

 In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
