Description & Requirements

We are a global team of creators, storytellers, technologists, experience originators, innovators and so much more. We believe amazing games and experiences start with teams as diverse as the players and communities we serve. At Electronic Arts, the only limit is your imagination.

The Challenge Ahead

Codemasters has a long-standing reputation as one of the premier game developers in the industry.  As a global team of creators, storytellers, technologists, experience originators, and so much more, we're renowned for our innovation and passion for racing games, and we place enormous value on collaboration, innovation, and unique perspectives to evolve our titles for players worldwide.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a new member of the team to join us on this wonderful journey and be a part of the next generation of talent as a Game Design Intern. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a huge racing game within our studios.

Our game designers work with a range of other disciplines, such as programmers, artists, experience designers (i.e. UIX design) and producers. We believe that we work best in cross-disciplinary “Feature Groups”, focusing on working together and bringing our diverse skills to bear upon the delivery of concrete, player-facing experiences.

Qualifications:

  • You are studying in the penultimate year of an undergraduate Bachelor's Degree programme
  • You are available to commence a full-time, 12 month placement in July 2024.
  • You are eligible to work in the UK without the need for visa/relocation support

Desired Skills:

  • Solid written and verbal skills with which to communicate your ideas
  • Experience with game design documentation/wiki documentation
  • Experience with XML/Excel/Word/Google Docs
  • A logical, detail-oriented approach to completing and verifying tasks
  • Good understanding of games in general, and of sports/racing in particular
  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Hunger to learn and ask questions
