We are looking for a Manager of Player Experience (PX) Research to lead a global team of research professionals. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will ensure player insights are translated into actionable recommendations that drive game development. Focused on ARPG and Lifestyles titles, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape gameplay, design, and the player experience based on real player data.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of researchers, driving excellence and growth while ensuring high-quality outcomes focused research.
- Align research initiatives with business and product strategies to ensure strategic player insights drive tangible outcomes.
- Ensure that research insights are translated into clear, actionable recommendations that directly influence game development decisions.
- Collaborate with game development teams, product managers, and key stakeholders to integrate player insights throughout the development cycle.
- Oversee the design and execution of both qualitative and quantitative research to understand player behaviours, preferences, and emerging trends.
- Provide strategic insights that inform game design, mechanics, monetization strategies, and narrative direction.
Qualifications
- You have a degree in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Market Research, Data Science, HCI), or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience leading research projects from planning to launch
- You have 5+ years' industry experience leading research teams.
- You have 5+ years' industry experience conducting user research across platforms.
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working across time zones and remotely.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES
- British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
- $115,100 - $161,200 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
