The Game

As an Audio Artist II in Create Audio you will work on the next evolution of the skate.™ franchise. We are set to deliver a rich, vibrant, and fun sonic experience that embraces and builds upon everything that makes this franchise so special. We believe in creating an inclusive world inside and outside of our games for our players and our team.

The Role

You will assist our Senior VO Artist with all aspects of the VO pipeline - from script preparation and file management, through to interactive logic setup and in-game tuning, debugging, and problem solving. This role is open to flexible hybrid work onsite and local to our Vancouver or Montreal office locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Creation and maintenance of in-game VO logic, using visual-scripting
  • Database/spreadsheet/file management and organization 
  • Help manage script-generation and VO asset pipelines 
  • File management with external vendors 
  • Debug and problem-solve in-game VO triggering issues 
  • Detailed .wav file editing 
  • Submit final audio files on or before required deadlines

Qualifications:

  • Professional experience working in a similar role on a sizable interactive media title
  • Speech/VO design skills
  • Professional experience with audio middleware (e.g. FMOD, Wwise), perforce, game engines, and visual scripting
  • Proficient in at least one DAW (preferably Reaper)
  • Solid post-production and digital audio editing / mastering skills for linear and nonlinear media
  • Collaborate well as part of a team
  • Technical thinker who enjoys problem solving

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). PAY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $63,400 - $86,500 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and after 3 months of service - extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
