Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with project onboarding tasks and tuition, so you may understand and employ a variety of content creation workflows
  • Working to deliver artwork to a deadline, including the careful planning of tasks, execution, and effective communication/collaboration with your fellow colleagues
  • Accepting ownership of your responsibilities and working to represent the quality and standards inherent to the project
  • Becoming an ambassador for the project, to ensure our world is both fun and fair, authentic in appearance, and exciting for the player

 

Qualifications:

  • You are currently studying at a university/vocational school that has a planned internship period (not a graduate).
  • You are available to commence a full-time, 12 month placement in July 2025
  • You are located and eligible to work in Guildford, UK without the need for visa/relocation support

 

Desired Skills:

  • Foundational knowledge of industry standard 3D software such as Maya, Zbrush, and the Substance suite
  • Prior experience with game development engines is ideal, such as Unreal Engine, Unity etc., plus an appreciation for the typical real-time art pipelines (exporting, baking, packing etc.)
  • A robust understanding of what constitutes compelling Environment Art & Design, including an appreciation for art principles such as strong composition, colouring, lighting and scale
  • An interest and intuition for the character of real-world environments, such as architecture, civil and organic spaces, terrain and atmosphere
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • A healthy desire to learn and grow - both as an artist and colleague - adapting to new challenges, furthering your skills, and taking on responsibilities that contribute to a team-wide effort.
