EA SPORTS creates connected experiences that ignite the emotion of sports through industry-leading sports video games.

As the Experience Design Visual/Product Lead, you will drive the visual and interaction design vision for the game’s experience, ensuring a high-quality, immersive, and engaging experience for players. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the product’s look, feel, and usability, bridging the gap between UX, UI, and visual storytelling.

  • You will define and drive the visual identity and collaborate on the user experience strategy for the game, aligning with business goals and player expectations.

  • You will develop and maintain design systems, interaction models, and UI frameworks that scale across the game’s features.

  • You will collaborate with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to define user requirements and craft compelling, intuitive design solutions.

  • You will produce wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and animations that effectively communicate design concepts.

  • You will advocate for best practices in user-centered design, accessibility, and consistency in visual and interaction design.

  • You will stay updated on industry trends and innovations in UX/UI design and gaming experiences, integrating relevant best practices into the design process.

  • You will present and defend design decisions to stakeholders, incorporating feedback while maintaining a clear product vision.

  • You will partner with engineering to ensure seamless implementation of design concepts while maintaining visual and interaction quality.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of progressive responsibility in experience design, product design, or visual/UI design within gaming, entertainment, or interactive media.

  • 3+ years of experience managing and mentoring design teams.

  • Experience shipping multiple AAA and/or high profile Mobile games from concept to completion.

  • Deep expertise in visual storytelling, interaction design, visual design and motion design principles.

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools like Principle or After Effects.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to balance aesthetics, functionality, and business goals.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale to stakeholders and executives.

  • Skilled at both independent work and effective collaboration within a cross-functional team environment.

  • A portfolio that showcases relevant work, demonstrating well-thought-out design processes and excellent craft execution.

  • A BS or BA degree (or equivalent experience) in Human-Computer Interaction, UX/UI/Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.

You will report to the Sr. Director of Experience Design.
