We are looking for creative writing talent to work with our production and design team on creating narrative content for our players. Deep knowledge of Hockey and a genuine passion for the sport is a requirement. You will also need a good eye for product quality and usability along with a passion for creating amazing experiences.
Your Responsibilities
- Data Entry & Management – Set up live content for World of Chel live service release plan including vanity store, rewards systems and events.
- Co-ordinate and assist with data entry verification
- Provide feedback and input surrounding live service plans and schedule including store layouts & pricing, event schedules and types.
- Connect and understand data and analytics connected to the World of Chel live service plan and its respective performance against targets
- Identify potential live service opportunities surrounding all aspects of World of Chel’s live service plan
- Live launch support
- Aid in the creation of writing content related to live service content with the ability to modify and improve them
- Work with NHL producers to understand targets and priority changes
- Responsible for effective communication of progress and quality with NHL team
- Work closely across teams to manage dependencies and coordinate deliverables
Your Qualifications
- 1+ years background in game design and/or production with relevant experience working on a live service with tight deadlines having shipped at least one “AAA” title as a producer or designer.
- Passion for and deep understanding of Hockey
- Good knowledge of the EA SPORTS NHL franchise

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledgeable in the game of hockey and leagues around the world
- Keen eye for small details and live changes to the real hockey world
- Ability to work both in a constructive team setting that looks to find a level of consensus on decisions that are public facing. While also having the ability to work autonomously on individual projects, both in the short term and long term.
- Ability to work with individuals from different disciplines, focused on achieving shared product/business goals
- Ability to come up with and document creative ideas. Evaluate and critique existing ideas
- Good eye for game quality and strong advocate for the end-user experience
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES
- British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
- $63,400 - $86,500 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
