Firemonkeys, Electronic Arts’ leading mobile games studio, located in Melbourne, Australia is home to the preeminent Sims’ experience on mobile, The Sims FreePlay. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Marketing Artist to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager but working as part of the art team, you’ll be a key part of the game studio team and influence how players see The Sims FreePlay. Ideally, you will have experience with 3D and 2D graphics, in-game capture, and video editing. If you have any experience working on live service or mobile games, that would be even better.  

 

Responsibilities  

  • Follow creative direction and ensure the look and feel of the brand is carried through all assets and evolved where needed.
  • Demonstrate understanding of color, composition, layout, and lighting
  • Design engaging marketing assets for live service games across multiple channels.
  • Communicate visual concepts through high-quality illustrations and designs that resonate with player motivations and embody the brand.
  • Ensure all creative assets align with brand guidelines, evolving designs with game updates.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and deliver creative campaigns.
  • Cropping, optimizing, and localizing assets using commercial software solutions and in-house tools.
  • Deliver high-standard work while retaining accuracy when working to a creative production timeline.

 

 

Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years’ experience creating marketing assets for live service games or interactive digital content.  
  • Strong skills in visual storytelling and concept illustration.  
  • Ability to craft engaging and brand-consistent content and campaigns.  
  • Experience designing assets for games/apps on Apple and Google storefronts.  
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, Discord, etc.  
  • Proficient in using design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Maya, or similar 3D tools.  
  • Experience with app store optimization (ASO) and in-app event asset creation are preferable. 
  • Passion for gaming and creativity.
