On NHL, the Lead Game Product Manager’s mission, in close collaboration with the wider NHL Live Content Team, is to help create the most engaging and rewarding live service experience for our players. You will have a mix of strategic and creative abilities that can help create actionable plans and content strategies that benefit our players. You will report directly to the Director of Product Management and will partner with other Product Managers, Producers, Game Designers, Artists, and external team members to further the growth of NHL's live service.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and manage live content, campaigns and features that maximize acquisition, engagement, and monetization throughout the product cycle.
- Conduct and communicate in-depth analysis of in-game trends using data insights to affect top line Indicators..
- Partner with Product and Franchise teams to build a roadmap that includes all important monetization levers: Features, Content, Events, Marketing campaigns, Offers, Promotions, Regionalization, Segmentation, A/B testing, Platforms, etc.
- Establish Indicators in partnership with the Live Services Team to measure player base health and performance throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build monetization programs and advocate a live service culture of test-learn-iterate across platforms.
- Support Live Service forecasting efforts and business reviews.
- Work closely with the game team to drive best-practice strategies in creating, balancing optimizing economy models for virtual economies.
- Develop and implement game health review cycles that consider internal and external feedback as well as important product metrics to improve the product.
- Track and develop an expert level understanding of gaming trends and insights, specifically with Live Service games.
- Translate real world NHL games/events into live content ideas/plans that further enhance the world of sports entertainment for our players.
- Manage testing strategies, build A/B testing campaigns and conduct postmortems.
- Collaborate with our internal technical partner groups, developing technologies that affect the game or live service.
- Partner with Central teams and craft requirements for all player facing features outside of game team's scope.
Your Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of Product Management, Game Design or equivalent experience required (Preferably in Live Services).
- Experience using data and insights to inform product development and experience with data-driven product design.
- Ability using and understanding in-game trends using data insights to affect top line Indicators.
- Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences, with experience presenting decks to multiple partners.
- Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects and projects.
- Desirable but not essential: A NHL fan with a good understanding of the core mechanics of NHL and its live features.
- Experienced in:
- Successful live service console and/or mobile games having delivered and maintained at least one product through the product life cycle.
- Designing content, campaigns and features that maximize acquisition, engagement, and monetization throughout the product life cycle.
- Obtaining insights and developing strategies through analytical metrics driven analysis and design experimentation.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
