As a Weapons Artist, you represent the foundation of our art enterprise. We are looking for an ambitious 3D artist with a passion for making the digital realm just as real as the physical. You will craft photorealistic organic and hard surface structures complete with destruction under the guidance of our 3D Art Lead. This role will report to our Line Director for Art, based in our studio in Los Angeles, California.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Craft high and low poly weapon models and texture them to specifications.

  • Refine hardware assets to help solve performance issues.

  • Maintain and manage your assigned assets in Perforce.

  • Participate in studio playtests to review implemented weapons work in the game. 

  • Assist in maintaining Confluence pages documenting pipeline & workflow processes.


Skills We Look For:

  • Excellent technical ability with a thorough understanding of Maya, Blender, Fusion or similar 3D modeling software.

  • Strong texturing proficiency in Adobe Substance Painter.

  • Working experience with physically based rendering pipelines.



Nice to Haves:

  • Working experience integrating weapon assets into game engines. 

  • Foundational knowledge of Substance Designer for procedural material creation.

  • Foundational knowledge of Marvelous Designer for cloth creation & simulation.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $73,200 - $101,700 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
