Description & Requirements

Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. Here, everyone is part of the story. Part of a community that connects across the globe. A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

Who we are

The future of entertainment is interactive, and our Ventures Group plays an important role in this future by building content, culture, and community that take us Beyond Gaming. We empower audiences to Play, Create, Watch, and Connect across our amazing franchises and experiences, including The Sims, Madden NFL, EA SPORTS FC, Apex Legends, and Battlefield. We’re a multi-functional group, with world-class expertise in building fandom, driving interactive storytelling, and positioning our franchises at the center of the broader entertainment ecosystem.

What We’re Building

Project Air is a new kind of mobile platform — part creative stage, part storytelling tool, part social experience — powered by AI and real-time interaction. Imagine the creative freedom and discovery of TikTok, the emotional texture of Pixar, and the emergent storytelling of the Sims, fused into something entirely new.

We're building a space where people don't just watch or post — they create, perform, and co-invent new characters, stories, and worlds. It's expressive, emotional, and deeply interactive.

The Role

As a Senior Product Designer , you’ll shape critical parts of the user experience of Project Air, with a focus on interaction patterns, motion language, and visual craft that bring the product to life. You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to prototype novel, AI-powered experiences and ship a delightful, high-performance mobile app.

What You’ll Do

  • Design high-impact product surfaces and interaction flows, with emphasis on motion and visual craft that balance utility, delight, and speed.

  • Establish reusable UI components and interaction patterns in close partnership with Engineering, with clear documentation to ensure implementation consistency.

  • Lead the definition of our motion and storytelling system using tools like Rive, After Effects, Lottie, or SwiftUI; deliver lightweight, performant animations that scale across the app.

  • Prototype rapidly (Figma/Prototyping tools/SwiftUI) to explore new AI-driven interactions and reduce ambiguity before build.

  • Collaborate with Product & Research to run lean usability tests; translate insights into iterative design improvements.

  • Partner with Engineering to ensure high-quality implementation (redlines, specs, accessibility criteria, QA on device).

  • Contribute to brand expression inside the product (empty states, microcopy, launch moments) and support marketing with key product visuals when needed.

  • Uphold accessibility and performance best practices; instrument and review design quality via analytics and user feedback loops.

  • Participate in critiques and cross-functional reviews; communicate decisions with clarity and rationale.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in digital product design with measurable impact on mobile UX and shipped consumer products.

  • Portfolio demonstrating excellent interaction design, visual craft, and thoughtful motion in real-world, shipped experiences.

  • Fluency in Figma and comfort with motion/interaction tools (Rive, After Effects, Lottie, and/or SwiftUI).

  • Strong storytelling instincts—clear hierarchies, pacing, and emotion in interface design.

  • Experience collaborating closely with Product and Engineering in fast, iterative environments (0→1 and 1→n).

  • Curiosity for new creative technologies (AI, real-time systems, mobile-native formats) and how they unlock new UX patterns.

  • Clear written and verbal communication; ability to give and receive feedback with a high bar for craft.

Why Join Us

  • Shape the soul of a product that blends AI, emotion, and play.

  • Work with a world-class, multidisciplinary team inside EA’s Ventures group.

  • Invent new experiences at the intersection of storytelling, character, and real-time technology.

  • Help define the future of human-AI collaboration — from the inside.
