We're searching for a Director of Experiential Quality to support our Sims franchise in creating the next Lifestyle experiences. You will report to the Head of Franchise Quality for Sims QV.

Be part of a dynamic team driving an important strategic pillar for EA. You will support a diverse team focused on ensuring the quality of the product meets player’s expectations. Our team will be integrated partners in the Sims product development organization, ensuring we meet the highest standards of Quality across every experience.

The Experiential Quality Product Owner is part of a versatile team focused on improving The Sims player experience through impactful qualitative feedback processes.

Responsibilities

  • You will guide the Experiential Quality assessment for Sims experiences being developed out of our Worldwide studios, particularly our MAXIS studio based in Redwood Shores..
  • You will represent the voice of the player informed by a detailed understanding of the product vision, game design, player motivations and market expectations.
  • You will help coordinate insight and feedback activities to support a comprehensive view of Experiential Quality in your area.
  • You will frequently playtest the game and stay connected to development progress & plans.
  • You will analyze feedback and data from all quality insight sources and translate those insights into a clear and objective view of experiential quality for both specific game areas and entire game experiences..
  • You will communicate experiential quality assessments to product and studio leaders, identifying quality risks and mitigation opportunities
  • You will collaborate with Studio, Creative and Product leaders to prioritize areas for deeper qualitative analysis
  • You will contribute to QVS project and milestone evaluation and reporting processes
  • You will collaborate with other QVS leaders and teammates to evolve Experiential Quality approach and best practices
  • You will partner with User Experience Research, Quality Design, Analytics, and Design to gather the needed data to inform quality assessment.

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of game product management, game production or game design experience.
  • Experience using data, player and audience insights to inform product design & iteration
  • Experience communicating with product and creative stakeholders.
  • Experience navigating and coordinating across a variety of teams and organizations.
  • Experience operating autonomously and sometimes with limited information and resources.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Miro and other project management tools.
  • You have a passion for video games, in particular the Lifestyle genre.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento) * $185,300 - $278,800 USD

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
