Role Overview: The Director of Experiential Quality for EA Sports FC will work with senior production and creative leaders to ensure that all player experiences are meeting player expectations, validated through the research, large and small scale playtesting, competitive analysis and understanding the communityThis role requires a strong focus on strategic thinking and a player-based, fan-centric approach to ensure every aspect of our game resonates deeply with players. You will champion the development of high-quality, engaging content on our across multiple platforms, including new platforms, PC and Console.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the strategic planning and execution for new and current experiences within the EA Sports FC ecosystem. This involves understanding player needs and market trends to innovate and deliver compelling features and gameplay.
  • Work closely with Product Management teams to translate player experience goals into actionable insights roadmaps and ensure the delivery of actionable insights back into the development process in a cohesive and streamlined manner.  
  • Lead the integration and utilization of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance and optimize player experiences, ensuring cutting-edge engagement.
  • Champion a rigorous, player-centric approach to quality, relying on several different inputs to help guide creative decision making including research, player sentiment and data for all decision-making regarding experiential quality.   • Closely support execution and implementation of strategies designed to identify, acquire and engage new cohorts of players working with the Consumer Insights and the PX Research to expand the reach and appeal of EA Sports FC.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional Partnership teams and contribute significantly to the broader Product Center to align experiential quality initiatives with overall business and product objectives.

 

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of game product management, game production or game design experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of design thinking, user experience, and systems-level product development.
  • Influence-oriented. Excel at collaborating with other leaders such as Executive Producers and Lead Producers, guiding the collective group to the best action, decision, or result. You have experience working with creative leaders, UXR, marketing, and quality verification teams.
  • Strong track record of influencing executive stakeholders and leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Analytical mindset with hands-on experience with development tools, metrics, and risk management frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $160,200 - $229,100 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
