EA Create is a collective of content production teams partnering with EA Studios game teams to provide outstanding visuals, audio and technology. Role Overview

EA Create Audio is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Speech Artist to join our dynamic team. Under the guidance of the Audio Director and VO Lead, you'll play a key role in shaping the soundscape of our games. Embrace our inclusive culture and bring your expertise in voice production, editing, and implementation to deliver an incredible audio experience for players. 

Reporting to the project’s VO Lead, you'll work in a dynamic hybrid environment, at our Vancouver or Montreal location, combining remote flexibility with in-office collaboration. Responsibilities: 

  • Create crowd walla VO assets. Collaborate with level designers, gameplay designers and audio programmers and leverage proprietary VO systems to support implementation of crowd walla and systemic dialogue.
  •  Support preparation for walla/loop group recording sessions; session planning, script exports, providing reference audio/video materials.
  • Methodically manage and track the editorial, mastering and databasing of crowd and systemic VO assets
  •  Support cinematic VO editorial; help prepare and track cinematic VO sessions for outsource editing and mastering.
  • Support implementation of scripted event and combat VO via blueprint scripting and animation tagging in Unreal Engine.
  • Adherence to VO mix standards as set by the audio team.
  •  Troubleshoot and debug VO functionality and playback issues. Coordinate support with partner domains where needed.
  • Source control / submitting work in Perforce.
  • Be creative and have fun!


Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of game audio and/or post-production experience
  • Knowledge of audio recording, editing and mastering techniques
  • Solid understanding of VO implementation concepts and processes.
  • Familiar with systemic VO tuning concepts such as event priorities, interrupts, queuing, cooldowns, repetition and pacing control.
  • Ear for identifying qualitative VO editing, mastering and mix issues.
  • Proficient in using game audio authoring tools and pipelines (Wwise, FMOD)
  • Strong knowledge of at least one major DAW (ProTools, Reaper, Cubase)
  • Experience with game engines (Unity, Unreal)
  • Understanding of version control tools (e.g., Perforce)
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
  • Artistic, creative, and technical sensibilities
  • Self-motivated with a solution-oriented attitude

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $73,200 - $101,700 CAD

 In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
