Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team provides strategic partnerships to leaders across EA. We do this by engaging with our partners to understand our broad strategy, analyzing data, and delivering insights to help guide EA's performance.

As the Finance Manager II, you will lead business support for our Apex Legends leadership team, including management of the franchise P&L, budgeting, forecasting, quarterly close, and long range planning processes. This hybrid role, defined as 3 or more days in the office, reports to the Senior Director of Finance – Respawn & Battlefield.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and lead financial reviews with budget owners for annual plan, forecast, and month-end close activities.

  • Ensure up-to-date forecast revisions, including variance investigation (operating expenses, headcount, and capital expenditures).

  • Support month-end close execution, including accrual and reclass entries.

  • Partner with Respawn Studio FP&A consolidation team to provide inputs for all core FP&A processes.

  • Establish and track performance measurements, financial frameworks, business cases, and retrospective analyses to support the Apex Legends business

  • Prepare Apex Legends internal financial reporting and monthly / quarterly business reviews

  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support Apex Legends partners

  • Ensure compliance with EA's policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in mid to senior level finance roles.

  • Experience with P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis.

  • Proficiency in Accounting and general GAAP knowledge.

  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint expertise.

  • Knowledge of Anaplan, Power BI, and Oracle or similar systems

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$111,600 - $152,800 CAD
* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) *$124,100 - $182,800 USD

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
