Our Analytics team partners with product, engineering, and operations to improve player safety, content moderation, and user-generated experiences across our games. We work with large-scale digital product data, investigate player behavior, and build metrics that guide decisions at scale.
Reporting to the senior manager of the team, this internship is designed for technically strong students who want to sharpen their SQL, experimentation, and product analytics skills while working on impactful real-world problems.
Responsibilities
Write complex SQL queries to extract, clean, and transform event-level player and product data
Investigate product performance questions, such as “Why did engagement volume drop 10%?” or “Which features drive retention?” and deliver insights through dashboards, reports or presentations
Collaborate with senior analysts to build, validate, and document core metrics (e.g., DAU, retention, funnel conversion, false positive/negative rates)
Develop dashboards and visualizations in Looker for tracking KPIs
Assist with A/B test design and analysis, ensuring results are statistically valid
Qualifications
Pursuing a bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or Economics
Strong foundation in SQL (able to write queries with joins, window functions, aggregations)
Familiarity with at least one programming language for analysis of large datasets (Python preferred; R also acceptable)
Understanding of basic statistical concepts (significance testing, confidence intervals, sampling, prediction, inference, clustering
Experience working with large datasets (coursework, research, or internships)
Bonus: prior exposure to product analytics concepts (funnels, retention, engagement metrics)
You must be available for a full-time paid internship in the summer of 2026.
At this time, we are considering Undergrad students who will be enrolled in an accredited degree program in the summer of 2026, slated to graduate no earlier than December 2026. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis during the 16-week internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the hourly pay ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, degree type (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), what stage you are in your degree journey (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.), qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
PAY RANGES
The hourly pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated based on scheduled hours per week if less than full-time), 16 paid company holidays per year, medical insurance, and 401(k).
