Apex Legends is looking for an intern to join the Live Art team - you will learn to develop highly polished visual designs and functional assets to drive our in-game commerce experience. Your primary focus will be on the creation of engaging player messaging, clean in-game store layouts, and other visual merchandising aspects in support of seasonal live content.

- You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree granting program in a related field with an expected graduation date no earlier than December 2026.
What You Will Do:
- Work with the Lead Live Artist and other Live Artist team members to create, design, and implement visual assets that seamlessly fit in and expand the Apex Universe
- Live Art focuses on in-game Store and Seasonal Events (including Battle Pass and LTMs), player-facing messaging, and other graphic support for the wider Experience Design team
- Breadth of assets include icons, badges, stat trackers, background elements for events, and image composition for store images and player messaging
- Also includes video editing
- Learn the internal tools for setting up/capturing in-game footage and generating high-quality renders of in-game assets, both for internal Live Art usage and for multi-departmental distribution
- Develop a refined and dynamic sense of visual composition to set up and capture clean screenshots and videos
- Base-level manipulation of Maya/Marmoset files for rendering
Ideally, You Will Have:
- A strong interest in the gaming entertainment (console, PC, or mobile), consumer products, or advertising/ecommerce industry. Not only as a player, but also as a developer with an interest in how marketing and merchandising can impact the player experience
- A design portfolio with well-rounded examples of finished work and insight into your creative process
- Solid understanding of graphic design principles, layout, composition/hierarchy, color, and lighting/compositing
- Good mastery of the following Adobe programs:
- Photoshop
- Illustrator
Bonus If You Have:
- Experience with the following programs:
- After Effects (video/motion graphics)
- Premiere Pro (video editing)
- Maya (3D)
- Marmoset (3D/lighting)
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the hourly pay ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, degree type (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), what stage you are in your degree journey (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.), qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
PAY RANGES
The hourly pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated based on scheduled hours per week if less than full-time), 16 paid company holidays per year, medical insurance, and 401(k).
