Job Description

We are looking for a passionate communications professional to join the EA SPORTS publishing team on a 12-month contract and work on a portfolio of sports videogame titles.

In this role, you will report to the Franchise Marketing Director and will be responsible for the global and international PR roll-out of the official F1, NHL and UFC series of video games. Your key focus will be using your experience working on PR campaigns to help shape the plans and vision for all Heartbeat titles. Your objective is to successfully support launch campaigns, raise awareness and generate new and industry-leading coverage for the franchises that you work on.

You will be required to work closely with the relevant studio teams, Franchise and Activation Managers, and all other cross-functional leads (social media, web, partnerships, content creators, first-party, among others).

What You'll Do

  • Bring strategic thinking and high-level PR expertise to planning forums, ensuring communications are player-first and globally impactful.

  • Develop and execute creative communications strategies and multi-channel campaigns that spotlight key features, excite players, and ignite conversations across earned, owned, and social channels.

  • Own the PR function for multiple EA SPORTS franchises (including F1, NHL, and UFC), leading end-to-end campaign delivery from planning through execution.

  • Maximize earned opportunities within global campaigns, securing industry-leading coverage and amplifying stories across the media landscape.

  • Manage EA’s global PR agency network across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC — leading the briefing process and serving as the primary point of contact for execution.

  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional and territory teams, as well as partner brands and sports talent, to design and deliver impactful PR activations.

  • Build and maintain strong, trustworthy relationships with development team spokespeople to enable compelling storytelling and technical depth in coverage.

  • Oversee day-to-day PR management across multiple titles, prioritizing effectively to deliver against tight deadlines and shifting needs.

  • Cultivate and expand media relationships across regions, consistently growing EA’s presence and influence.

  • Represent EA at industry events and lead the delivery of virtual events when required.

  • Contribute to budget planning and allocation, using data and insights to inform recommendations on title priorities and market focus.

  • Travel occasionally and flex across time zones as needed to support campaign and event delivery.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field, ideally within the video game, sports, or entertainment industries.

  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong organizational and management abilities to drive projects forward.

  • Agility: Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, balancing multiple projects, tight timelines, and shifting priorities with composure.
