As a Quality Designer, you will oversee the entire quality plan for the FC Meta and will report to the QV Development Director. You will partner directly with the Producer and other Designers to establish quality standards and provide both quantitative and qualitative feedback on new features.
Responsibilities:
Quality Strategy and Test Planning
Use testing skills to systematically test the product and share results.
Lead quality strategies for owned features.
Document reproduction steps, gather test data, and support debugging.
Quality and Data Analysis
Analyse feature sets for automation opportunities (Risk-based Testing, Data/AI-driven testing and more).
Perform design testing reviews, ensuring the design is captured and identifying bugs before they make it into software.
Collaboration and Communication
Be the communication bridge between development partners and QA teams.
Provide technical, quantitative, and qualitative feedback.
Mentorship and Team Support
Lead improvements and knowledge sharing across teams.
Mentor team members in implementing quality strategies.
Qualifications:
Experience
4+ years of experience in software development, quality assurance, or game design.
Experience working with game engines and associated tool sets.
Knowledge of current generation console testing and software development kits.
Abilities
Understand concepts of defect prevention and containment.
Experience creating high-quality player experiences.
Translate project metrics into data-driven decisions and strategies.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
