The Data & Insights (D&I) team harnesses the power of data to deliver transformative insights and solutions to EA game teams and players. D&I teams are involved in every aspect of data, driving strategy and governance; building powerful data and AI applications; and developing personalization, experimentation, and analytics tools, and more.


The Challenge Ahead

As the gaming industry shifts towards a live service-driven model, EA's AdTech team tasks itself with creating engaging Ads experiences, connecting relevant brands/advertisers to players. This team builds industry-leading solutions that empower e2e Ads lifecycle management workflows and performant, scalable and available services.

As a Software Engineer, you will report to the Ads Portal Engineering Lead.


Responsibilities

  • You will help lead the development of Ads lifecycle components such as ads network connection, ads marketplace, data exchange, funnel analysis, measurement and reporting.

  • You will collaborate with several teams including internal partners and customers to refine the Ads workflow and develop e2e solutions that meet requirements.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience working in a software development role

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (such as Java or Python) and experience with shell scripting.

  • Experience with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, GitLab

  • Familiarity with back-end development frameworks and technologies (e.g., Spring Boot).

  • Experience working with online & offline databases, including columnar databases, relational databases or document databases.


This is a hybrid remote/in-office role.


Pay Transparency - North America

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$100,000 - $139,500 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
