This is a 9-month Temporary Full Time opportunity working Hybrid in Los Angeles (CA), Redwood City (CA), Kirkland (WA), Austin (TX), Orlando (FL), Vancouver (BC) or Edmonton (AB)

We're looking for a passionate Cinematic Designer to focus on cinematic integration, who will embrace our philosophy and work with design leadership, artists, code, and other departments to help us create an incredible experience for our players. 


Responsibilities: 

  • You will integrate and maintain Sequencer-driven cinematics into our levels, as well as seamless in-gameplay cinematic moments.
  • You will troubleshoot and fix bugs related to cinematics.
  • You will construct NPC animation states to ensure a seamless transition before and after a cinematic.
  • You will create and edit blueprints to successfully trigger level sequences.
  • You will capture environment meshes from Unreal Engine and export to FBX format to support Cinematic Teams


Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years' experience in the games industry working as a designer, shipping at least one title.
  • A team-player mindset, understanding the importance of collaboration, and able to communicate effectively with all disciplines and departments.
  • A strong knowledge of Unreal Engine 5.  Ideally the sequencer tool and implementation workflows.
  • Proficiency in at least one animation tool (i.e. Maya, Motion Builder, Blender)
  • Experience with text-based scripting, visual scripting, and/or programming languages

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$91,100 - $126,900 CAD
* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) *$101,700 - $151,900 USD
* Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane) *$96,400 - $126,400 USD

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to temporary full-time employees scheduled to work full time.

 In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
