The Global Community Engagement Manager plays a vital role in how EA SPORTS FC connects with its players across owned community platforms and social channels. You will own the creation of Pitch Notes-style informational content in tight collaboration with the development team as assisting with the management of FC Direct, Discord, Reddit and forums. You will be a key contact for our development team, liaising with the studio on a daily basis to relay communications both internally and externally for our Community Engagement team.

Operating within the Social Media & Community department, you’ll work closely with the Community Programs and Community Engagement Leads to transform key information from development, live services, and publishing into meaningful player-facing updates and engagement moments. This role supports the seamless execution across community engagement platforms, ensuring alignment with both product priorities and brand tone.

In this role, you will be involved in blending community content, publishing fluency, and player empathy, ensuring that our engagement channels represent the most trusted and player-first voices in football gaming. This role will also have involvement with player facing content, including developer interviews across FC Direct social and streaming content.

Responsibilities

Community Content Execution

  • Support the creation and execution of Community content and platforms on social media & web in close collaboration with the studio-based development team

  • Translate technical feature updates, gameplay changes, and live service decisions into clear, accessible player-facing communication.

  • Participate in development syncs and planning conversations to proactively identify upcoming communication needs.

  • Help ensure that long-form dev communications are accurate, timely, and aligned with development intent.

  • Support and execute developer interviews for player-facing content, inclusive of FC Direct Twitch streams.

Platform & Program Management

  • Manage and execute the creation of Pitch Notes related content on web, as well as assisting with other global community engagement content across Discord, Reddit and forums.

  • Maintain the Pitch Notes tracker, ensuring all community engagement beats are delivered accurately and on time.

  • Coordinate with Community Programs and Community Engagement Leads to ensure content shared through community channels reflects global publishing priorities and resonates with core audiences.

  • Ensure that the tone, cadence, and consistency of community messaging is included across all official FC community spaces.

  • Collaborate with Social Strategy & Insights to track performance, sentiment, and effectiveness of community content.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Development and Live Service Producers to surface key updates, patch notes, and live communications to players.

  • Work hand-in-hand with Social MediaCommunity ProgramsRegional Comms, and other CFX teams to ensure player communications are synchronized across all touchpoints.

  • Partner with Brand, Creative, and Content Production to execute campaign and feature-related community storytelling that complements marketing beats.

  • Partner with Web and Copywriting to produce Pitch Notes articles, seeking the relevant input and approvals from CFX teams. 

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in community management, digital engagement, or player communications, ideally in gaming or live service environments.

  • Experience crafting and delivering clear, empathetic, and brand-aligned messaging to players.

  • Skilled in web copy writing, and building out communication plans to support web content.

  • Familiarity of building and managing online communities across Discord, Reddit, or forums at scale.

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with development and publishing teams to translate complex information into player-friendly narratives.

  • Skilled in community insights analysis, social listening, and reporting tools.

  • Strategic thinker with excellent communication, prioritization, and crisis management skills.

  • Experience in presenting or interviewing, whether live or in pre-record format (preferred).

  • Experience working with development teams within the gaming industry (preferred).

  • Passion for football, gaming, and online community culture.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field (preferred).


Pay Transparency - North America

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$91,100 - $126,900 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
