Description & Requirements

Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. Here, everyone is part of the story. Part of a community that connects across the globe. A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

The Data & Insights (D&I) team harnesses the power of data to deliver transformative insights and solutions to EA game teams and players. D&I teams are involved in every aspect of data, driving strategy and governance; building powerful data and AI applications; and developing personalization, experimentation, and analytics tools, and more. When you join D&I, you're joining a team of passionate experts working to enable more profound understanding, better ways of working, and more meaningful experiences for our players.

As a Development Manager (DM) supporting the Enterprise Data Engineering team, you will play an important role in helping turn complex data initiatives into reliable, high-impact outcomes. Working closely with engineering managers, data engineers, and project and program management peers, you will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of modern data architectures, platforms, pipelines, and products that power analytics and inform both day-to-day and strategic decision-making across our studios and corporate stakeholders.

In this role, you will be deeply involved in execution—supporting planning, prioritization, and delivery through established project management and Scrum practices. You’ll help teams stay aligned on scope and commitments, track progress against plans, identify risks and dependencies early, and communicate status clearly to engineering teams, stakeholders, and leadership while contributing to a collaborative, creative, and execution-focused environment within the Data & Insights organization.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Project Management:

  • Oversee project schedules and execution ensuring timely delivery of milestones.

  • Balance scope, timelines, and overall deliverable or project quality.

  • Track dependencies, identify and mitigate risks, manage blockers, prioritize tasks, and ensure delivery commitments and project goals are met.

  • Ensure timely and effective reporting to leadership and stakeholders, escalating and seeking timely support when necessary.

Team Coordination and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including engineers, product managers, and other project/program managers.

  • Conduct regular meetings and Scrum ceremonies, such as sprint planning sessions, recurring stand-ups, and retrospectives to continually align priorities with team delivery efforts.

  • Communicate status and progress updates effectively following established processes and channels.

  • Support capacity planning, identifying and communicating resource constraints or challenges, and managing change requests to minimize delivery disruptions.

  • Identify challenges and propose opportunities to level up processes, engagement, reporting, and communication.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 2+ years of relevant project management experience in a technical or data-driven environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, management, information systems, engineering).

  • Demonstrated experience with project management methodologies like Scrum, Agile, Kanban and related tools (JaaS/Jira); Scrum or Agile certification a plus.

  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align on deliverables, timelines, break work into executable tasks, effort sizing, and support conflict resolution when appropriate.

  • Strong communicator: comfortable facilitating meetings, leading discussions, coordinating and bridging gaps between teams, talking through solutions and distilling information, and reporting to leadership.
