Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team provides strategic partnerships to leaders across EA. We do this by engaging with our partners to understand our broad strategy, analyzing data, and delivering insights to help guide EA's performance.

Role Overview: 

This Senior Finance Director will lead business support for our EA SPORTS Football Club (FC) franchise, serving as:

  • An embedded and trusted senior advisor to FC & EA SPORTS; and

  • An experienced & demonstrated leader in the Global Finance organization, contributing to strategic functional initiatives and transformation.

Supported by a team of 5, you will report to the Vice President of FP&A, EA SPORTS, while partnering closely with FC leadership. You will work a hybrid role, requiring three days per week in an EA office.

Responsibilities 

You will partner with senior leaders across EA SPORTS FC, including our SVP / General Manager, Head of Operations & Publishing, Executive Producers and their leadership teams to support all financial elements associated with the successful execution of our EA SPORTS FC strategies.

Business Partnership:

  • Partner closely with FC franchise leaders to drive the business and ongoing value creation & profitable growth.  Provide actionable insights with a lens towards strategic execution and return on investments.

  • Manage the holistic health of our various & collective businesses, including full P&L responsibility.

  • Lead the financial planning process, including the long-range, annual, and in-year planning cycles.   Partner cross-functionally to develop & manage operating metrics that support financial planning. 

  • Establish and track performance measurements across all major offerings and projects.

  • Provide ad-hoc financial and decision support analysis in service of strategies & performance.

Organizational Leadership:

  • Lead the team responsible for financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes across EA SPORTS FC, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and strategic initiatives.

  • Develop a FP&A team, fostering a culture of analytical rigor, inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in senior finance roles, including managing full P&L responsibility and financial planning cycles for large, complex organizations.

  • Experience leading and developing distributed FP&A teams, with a commitment to building an inclusive and collaborative environment.

  • Experience partnering with executive leaders to synthesize complex financial data into actionable insights and implement performance metrics that support business objectives.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$187,000 - $259,400 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
