The role

As a member of the analytics team, you will be the driving force for business intelligence in Pogo. You will report to the Analytics Manager, working in Hyderabad as part of the product team. You are a thoughtful, curious person who has experience with diving into data and building models to understand how players are interacting with our games & features. You will produce insights to help guide design on games, platform, and live services to improve acquisition, retention, and monetization for Pogo.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Strong analytical ability to dive into large datasets, uncover trends, and generate actionable insights
  • Ability to investigate metric drops, surges, and anomalies and perform root cause analysis
  • Advanced SQL and Python skills for deep dives, analysis, and scalable data solutions
  • Strong statistical thinking and exploratory analysis skills to validate findings and support decision-making
  • Ability to understand product goals and translate ambiguous questions into structured analyses
  • Experience designing, defining, and validating telemetry for new features, games, and promotions
  • Ability to build frameworks to measure the impact of features, systems, campaigns, and player-facing changes
  • Experience analyzing player behavior, engagement, monetization, and feature performance
  • Light machine learning experience to support churn prediction, spend prediction, forecasting, and segmentation
  • Experience building Tableau dashboards and self-serve reporting solutions to track KPIs and support stakeholders
  • Ability to support ad hoc requests from product managers, game designers, and cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills to present insights and recommendations clearly and influence decisions
  • Ability to partner closely with engineers and feature owners to ensure data quality and analytical readiness
  • High attention to quality, thoughtfulness, and best practices in analytics work


Basic Qualifications

  • BA or BS in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related analytics field
  • 4+ years' experience in a product analytics role using data to help guide decisions in a consumer products-oriented industry - gaming, social networks, or entertainment.
  • 3+ years hands-on experience in data mining, machine learning, or statistical modeling
  • Experience analyzing large (web scale), complex, multi-dimensional data sets
  • Experience with visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau and Google Analytics
  • SQL skills, including experience querying complex data sets on a platform such as Redshift
  • Experience presenting to people at different levels of business and technical expertise, including the ability to simplify difficult technical concepts
  • Basic knowledge in scripting with R and/or Python
  • Knowledge of building ETL Pipelines


Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of various machine learning techniques and key parameters that affect their performance
