Content Operations Technology Lead

The future of entertainment is interactive, and our Marketing team plays an important role in this future by building content, culture, and community around our brands. We empower audiences to Play, Create, Watch, and Connect across our amazing franchises and experiences, including The Sims, Madden NFL, EA SPORTS FC, Apex Legends, and Battlefield. Content Operations & Traffic:

The Content Operations & Traffic team sits within XO Creative Studios, as a core part of our global marketing engine. We focus on building connected, efficient campaign workspace solutions that support seamless planning, scalable content pipelines, and reliable delivery to fans worldwide. Through interoperable systems, AI-enabled tools, aligned operating models, and data-informed decision-making, we help teams work effectively across the business.

We are continuing to evolve our marketing content operations capabilities and are looking to strengthen our team with leaders who can balance innovation with operational discipline. We will offer you the opportunity to lead meaningful improvements while supporting a dynamic, global business.

We outline specific responsibilities, experience and technical skills below.

Responsibilities: As the Content Operations Technology Lead, you will be a necessary partner across teams contributing to the content pipeline. You will lead the evolution of our Unified Campaign Workspace and ensure the systems, workflows, and tools that support it are scalable, connected, and optimized for growth. Your responsibilities include:

  • Integrated Marketing Systems Leadership: Translate integrated marketing strategy into scalable, connected workflows that support planning through execution.

  • Content Ecosystem Optimization: Design and refine end-to-end content operations, ensuring visibility, efficiency, and a clean, reliable pipeline.

  • AI & Automation Enablement: Implement AI-forward and automation solutions that improve speed, clarity, and cross-team collaboration.

  • Process Innovation: Identify gaps and friction points within the content journey and create scalable, forward-looking solutions.

  • Cross Team & Vendor Partnership: Align partners and manage technology partners to ensure adoption, impact, and long-term ecosystem growth.

This is a diverse, expanding, and challenging role, reporting to the Senior Content Operations Manager. You will engage with a globally distributed team, with the primary team located in North America.

Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, Content Operations, or Content Production.

  • Experience building and enhancing end-to-end content production workflows.

  • Hands-on ownership of workflow platforms like Airtable, including system configuration and governance.

  • Experience implementing automation and AI-enabled tools to guide efficiency and scalability.

  • Experience leading cross team change management and influence adoption.

  • Experience communicating complex technical solutions to a variety of teammates within the business to enhance growth.

  • Experience organising and building content operations solutions.

  • Bonus: Background in video games, sports, entertainment, or other high-volume content environments

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in Airtable (base architecture, automations, integrations, and reporting).

  • Skills in designing interconnected marketing systems across planning, production, and distribution tools.

  • Familiarity with AI-forward workflow solutions and automation platforms.

  • Understanding of marketing content lifecycles and operational best practices.

  • Structure clean data models, metadata standards, and scalable governance.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspaces for documentation and executive-ready materials.

  • Hands-on project management experience in collaborative, cross team settings.

This role requires hybrid work out of Vancouver, BC. We are looking for a person with an innovation mindset with a natural curiosity for improving how work gets done. A person who is comfortable navigating uncharted territories while building scalable structure, and excels in evolving environments and challenges legacy processes. Global perspective with experience collaborating across geographies.


Pay Transparency - North America

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$91,100 - $126,900 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
 In Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
