Job Summary:
Join us at Electronic Arts, where you will help inspire the world to play by delivering accurate and compliant revenue reporting for our global portfolio of games and services. As Senior Accountant II - Revenue, you will report to the Director, Revenue Accounting and collaborate with us across Corporate Accounting, Finance, Publishing, Studios, and IT. You will use your technical accounting expertise under ASC 606 and analytical skills to support our creative and commercial goals. Our team values new ideas, inclusion, and continuous improvement as we shape the future of interactive entertainment together. You will work in a hybrid work model requiring three days per week in our Redwood Shores office.
Responsibilities:
You will support monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close reporting under U.S. GAAP and ASC 606, ensuring accuracy and compliance for all global revenue streams.
You will analyze actual results providing flux analyses against forecasts and prior periods, communicating key insights and identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to us and management partners.
You will assist in the validation of the GAAP forecast by validating underlying assumptions and ensuring alignment with ASC 606 and internal policies.
You will validate the accuracy of revenue recognition, support the implementation of new accounting guidance, and consult with us on operational setups such as bundles and projects.
You will maintain financial controls, support audit requirements, and serve as the main contact for internal and external auditors during quarterly and annual reviews.
You will ensure compliance with audit requirements and EA Corporate policies.
You will partner with Finance (Corporate, Publishing, Studios) and Corporate Accounting to align accounting treatment and reporting, and training.
You will assist with special projects for example, the annual estimate offering period and SSP analyses.
Challenge existing processes, identify efficiency opportunities, and help design or enhance processes and/or systems that support revenue automation.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
4+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate or public accounting ideally within the technology, entertainment, or gaming industry.
Experience applying ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP to revenue recognition, including preparing and reviewing financial reports for complex transactions.
Experience using Oracle ERP, RevPro, Power BI, MDM, and advanced Microsoft Excel to support revenue reporting and analysis.
Partnering and training cross-functionally with various audience levels across the enterprise.
