EA SPORTS FC Mobile Shanghai is a global team devoted to developing and operating a high-quality mobile football game experience. We are looking for a full-time Lead Client Engineer to join the EA Shanghai Studio for FC Mobile project. Your will report to a technical director and guide other client SEs on feature development. This is an onsite role in EA Shanghai Studio.

Your responsibilities as an Engineer:

  • Partner with GD to gather requirements, evaluate options and propose solid technical solutions.
  • Develop prototypes, new features, optimized systems with high quality and in time.
  • Implement UI layout, feature logic, game flows and system integration, owing works from design through delivery.

Your responsibilities as a Lead:

  • You will coach a team of Client SEs, setting clear development solutions and technical direction.
  • You will guide the design and implementation of new features and workflows.
  • You will monitor and uphold qualification standards, including tracing bugs, tracking main metrics and auto-testing.
  • You will collaborate with PM DD to scope tasks, plan schedules and manage feature delivery expectations.
  • You will play an engaging role in code review, goal setting, risk control and coach SEs.

Your Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience using C/C++ or C#.
  • 1+ year of dev team leadership experience, coaching and guiding SEs or technical solutions.
  • Understanding of design patterns, data-driven and object-oriented design.
  • Knowledge of working with version control system in team development environment.
  • Experience architecting and implementing complex systems with large codebases.
  • Experience with a relational database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.

Bonuses:

  • Experience with scripting language.
  • Experience with Mac, Linux or Ubuntu.
  • Experience with large game engine such as Unreal Engine, Unity.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
