EA SPORTS FC Mobile Shanghai is a global team devoted to developing and operating a high-quality mobile football game experience. This is an onsite role in EA Shanghai Studio where you will report directly to the team Technical Director (TD).

Responsibilities

  • You will use and enhance existing game engines by developing on top of the current framework, improving functionality and performance.

  • You will conduct in-depth research into mobile platform engine architectures, infrastructure, and primary technologies to support cross-platform development.

  • You will enhance and debug game performance across all mobile platforms; use the existing toolchain to engineer new tools and improve current ones, steadily driving development efficiency..

  • You will oversee the daily management and team-building of the engine team, unlock team potential, and foster a stable, cohesive team environment.

  • You will direct project planning and task management for the engine team, while driving seamless collaboration and communication between teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in game client or engine development, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience managing a multi-person technical team.

  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming and debugging, with the capability to steer the technical direction of the engine team.

  • Demonstrated expertise in toolchain development and core engine optimization. Crucially, you will demand practical proficiency in building and profiling for Android and iOS systems.

  • Familiar with Agile development methodologies and proficient in project management and knowledge-sharing tools such as Jira and Confluence.

  • Good at communication and the ability to coordinate across multiple departments.
