Role Overview 

We are looking for an experienced Audio Artist who can make an immediate contribution to all aspects of audio speech development on the UFC Franchise. The successful candidate must be able to own audio specific project(s), with the goal of creating a quality audio experience. This individual should have experience in all phases of speech for video game production, as well as background in audio post production.


Key Responsibilities

Audio Artists focused on UFC Speech will contribute to building commentary and Voice Over systems, and engage in problem-solving throughout all stages of production.  Working with the UFC Development team, this individual should possess skills in the recording and editing of quality VO content, as well as advanced asset management. Programmatic scripting skills are a must, as is the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines while owning the quality of your work.  The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for game audio design, as well as some knowledge in Mixed Martial Arts.  Specific tasks include:

  • Submitting finalized audio assets via Perforce (P4V) on or before required deadlines.

  • Tuning and implementation of commentary playback elements using scripting languages. (Similar to Python/Lua/JavaScript)

  • Editing and organizing in-game VO assets per naming convention protocols.

  • Recording VO assets and commentary script writing/editing as needed

  • Participates in project problem solving and review sessions with the audio team

  • Receive and execute on design vision with Audio Leads

  • Contribute to the creation of the audio creative design within and outside your audio specialty

  • Responsible for documentation of workflows and pipelines, making sure any relevant information in your day-to-day role is up to date


Required Skills and Experience

  • Shipped at least 1 title, with 3+ years experience in games

  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral

  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Access/SQL preferred

  • Expert in at least one DAW (Pro Tools or Reaper preferred)

  • Solid experience using audio development tools, technology, and pipelines. (e.g. Wwise/Fmod/Unreal/Unity)

  • Self-motivated and willing to learn and grow as an audio professional

Nice to Have

  • In-depth knowledge of UFC

  • Advanced programming experience (C++, C#)

  • Voice talent direction

  • Japanese language speaker

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$67,000 - $92,700 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
 In Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
