Role Overview:

As the Finance Manager, you will partner directly with Sports FP&A, Sports Technology, and Tracab leadership to drive financial strategy. You are a activator who takes on challenges and manages deliverables with ease, serving as both as trusted finance partner and a collaborative team player to help shape the future of our sports technology businesses.

Reporting to the Director of FP&A, you work in a hybrid model, defined as 3 days a week in our EA office.

What You'll Do:

Business Partnering

  • Cultivate strong relationships with key leadership to help deliver the long-term strategy

  • Influence key decisions by understanding the big picture combined with providing underlying deep financial analysis and insight

  • Manage full P&L and overall financial health for Sports Tech and Tracab, providing strategic guidance and decision support to leadership.

  • Partner with Sports Tech and Tracab leadership to prioritize investments by evaluating strategic initiatives, quantifying financial impact and trade-offs, and recommending resource allocation decisions that optimize long-term business value.

  • Drive and assist teams to provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis to assist with decision-making and value creation.

  • Prepare and hold business reviews for Sports Tech and Tracab leadership teams with clear insights to drive decision making.

Financial Forecasting and Reporting

  • Develop and collaborate with Sports Tech & Tracab teams on long range, annual and quarterly revenue forecasts

  • Lead financial reviews with budget owners to develop annual plans and subsequent forecast updates

  • Drive insightful analysis to highlight variance drivers and identify opportunities to mitigate risk and improve performance

  • Responsible for purchase order approvals, budgeted spend tracking, monthly close activities, and headcount management. Set control processes in place to manage spending and headcount within plan

  • Manage all close activities for assigned departments including identifying and preparing accrual and reclass entries to ensure precise accounting of known activities

  • Ensure compliance with EA's policies and procedures.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field

  • 6+ years of progressive financial experience, with expertise in P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and long-range strategic planning

  • Solid foundation in US GAAP and accounting workflows

  • Experience communicating analytical findings for a range of audiences

  • Advanced MS Excel financial modelling skills, and comfortable working with complex datasets

  • Experience with enterprise financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or Anaplan)

  • Demonstrated experience incorporating use of AI tools or modern digital solutions into work processes to accelerate and enhance work quality


Pay Transparency - North America

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$92,900 - $129,200 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
