About Us: Our Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) team is an important part of our development process, consistently delivering actionable insights that support our game teams to optimize software performance and elevate gameplay.

About the Role: The Quality Designer II position will require you to develop new quality practices that aim to improve quality across all teams at EA. You will oversee the entire quality plan for FC Football and will report to the QV Development Director. You will also partner directly with the Producer and/or other Designers to establish quality standards and provide both quantitative and qualitative feedback on new features.



🔑Your Responsibilities 

Quality Strategy and Test Planning

  • Leverage testing skills and methodologies to systematically test the product and share results

  • Assess and manage risks related to requirements and testing

  • Ensure requirements are clear, complete, and testable

  • Ensure high-quality standards throughout the development lifecycle

  • Design and apply strategies and processes to enhance the overall quality throughout all teams

  • Use change control processes to measure the impact of evolving quality strategies

  • Lead the test strategy for important gameplay features and systems.

  • Document reproduction steps, gather test data, and help with debugging

  • Monitor game builds and follow up on fixes to ensure quality goals are met

Quality and Data Analysis

  • Interpret & use data visualizations to provide relevant insights

  • Compile data from multiple sources into cohesive summaries to communicate status and risk

  • Analyze data to propose solutions to quality problems


Collaboration and Communication

  • Communicate status and risk through cohesive summaries

  • Facilitate communication between different teams and partners

  • Represent the QA perspective effectively in meetings, ensuring quality standards are prioritized.

Mentorship and Team Support

  • Mentor and support team members in implementing quality strategies

  • Deliver improvements and knowledge sharing across teams

  • Provide training and guidance on quality-related topics




✅ Our Requirements

Experience and Knowledge

  • 7+ years of experience in software development, quality assurance, or game design

  • Understanding of quality assurance techniques and multiple testing methodologies

  • Experience with bug prevention, containment strategies

  • In-depth knowledge of both Agile and waterfall methodologies

  • Experience working within a continuous delivery or continuous deployment model

  • Strong experience using advanced data analysis tools to interpret quality assurance metrics and improve processes

  • Knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and best practices related to requirements compliance

  • Experience with defect and task tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent collaboration and communication

  • Translate project metrics into data-driven decisions and strategies

  • Understand concepts of defect prevention and containment

  • Experience with Grey/White box testing in development environments

  • Passion for creating high-quality player experiences

  • Familiar with and proficient in user research methodology
