Building on one of the biggest rebrands in entertainment history, EA SPORTS FC is looking for an Associate Creative & Design Director to elevate the brand across the portfolio of FC products in the market and help shape new ones. Our games are loved and played by millions of people around the world, and we want every experience they have with our brand to feel special, premium and authentic to football. This is a collaborative team and industry, so it’s important to be a quick learner who isn’t afraid to ask questions, while focusing on detailed output. In this dream role you’ll work across several creative campaigns & design deliverables for EA SPORTS FC.

 

You will play an instrumental role in the following:

  • Develop and drive end-to-end creative concepts and executions, across the FC Platform ecosystem
  • Support in development of the core creative design systems for multiple FC products
  • Partner with our teams to uphold our visual look & feel and across various brand and product level campaigns under the guidance of the Group Creative Director & Platform Marketing Director.
  • Partner with internal strategy and marketing team members to develop treatments and creative responses that inspire our best ideas and execution
  • Collaborate with our production teams to craft designs and executions
  • Develop core creative platform and creative responses at a product level alongside internal Strategy, Brand and Development teams that inspire our best ideas and execution
  • Conceptualize, write, and develop ideas based on franchise Strategy and Brand positioning for cross-channel campaign assets, across multiple FC products 
  • Articulate and present creative concepts to internal stakeholders, while strengthening the work through incorporating feedback
  • Collaborate with internal and external production, editorial and development teams to craft stories and content, with a focus on video
  • Partner with our Brand and cross functional teams to uphold campaign narrative, tone and visual look and feel under the guidance of creative and senior leadership
  • Share and present creative work with creative team leadership at regular intervals throughout campaign
  • Lead external agency relationships throughout the briefing, creation, feedback, & execution process

 

This role, in partnership with external agencies and internal designers, will be accountable for concepting and executing the go-to-market design systems & brand level creative for EA SPORTS FC Platforms. You will drive excellence in design & creative from start to finish, with an expectation to manage and uphold a high-quality bar for all content produced that uses our franchise design systems. You will report directly to the FC Platform Marketing Director, and work in support of and in collaboration with the Group Creative Director of EA SPORTS FC.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in a creative role -- creative agency experience preferable, with a focus on concept development, asset creation, and brand design
  • In-depth understanding of the media landscape including both emerging digital spaces and traditional channels
  • Storytelling and script writing skills are essential
  • Experience working on brand and product campaigns from vision to completion. In-house or agency
  • Understanding the cultural and creative landscape of football or in-depth FC video game knowledge are a huge plus
  • Experience in a matrixed work environment is beneficial

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $126,000 - $176,300 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
