The Tools and Technology Team within Fusion is looking for accomplished people to help us fulfill our mission of providing creative tools and workflows that allow EA to lead the industry in content quality. Our group strives to build an ecosystem of modular components that are efficient, adjustable to trends, and allow for quick iteration of any artistic idea into reality. The Challenge Ahead:

The Development Director (DD) role oversees all aspects of people leadership and project management within their team. You will be experienced in developing people and have proven experience delivering high-quality products to customers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on the Characters Tools team to deliver innovative technologies that deliver exceptional character likenesses to our game team partners.  You will report to the Project Development Director.


Day to day, you will…

  • Provide project management leadership to specific workstreams within the Characters domain.
  • Coach and develop the careers of your reports.
  • Determine task dependencies and partner with external teams/resources where needed.
  • Identify and mitigate team and project risks, focusing on removing blockers for the team.
  • Monitor sprint and roadmap progress and work with the Product Managers to communicate variances to important partners.
  • Partner with the other team DDs to create a creative, collaborative, and inclusive environment, promoting a culture of learning and development for individuals on the team.


You are/you have…

  • 5+ years project management experience of technical projects and 3+ years team development experience.
  • University degree Bachelors or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1+ years of experience using Agile project management methodology.


Bonus if you have…

  • Experience career managing technical people such as Engineers and Technical Artists
  • Experience within a tools team and/or a games company
  • Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Asana 
  • Experience surfacing analytics and metrics

 


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $115,100 - $161,200 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
