Frostbite is EA’s state-of-the-art multi-platform game development engine. Our global team develops creative engine features and modern tools that let our game makers create stunning games. Reporting to the senior engineering Manager, you will work with game teams to integrate new releases of the Frostbite engine in a hybrid workplace. You will be part of a diverse, distributed Frostbite Partner Experience team and collaborate with internal game teams using Frostbite, helping them integrate new versions of the Frostbite engine and improve processes and workflows.
Responsibilities:
You will resolve integration issues and ensure smooth, uninterrupted delivery to game teams.
You will improve game code to adopt and align with new Frostbite APIs.
You will collaborate with teams on engine changes and adoption strategies.
You will identify and propose integration improvements tailored to each team.
You will communicate causes of challenges to partners and Frostbite leadership.
You will become a subject matter expert, offering guidance on maximizing Frostbite’s capabilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of professional experience with C++
Experience with version control concepts, especially with Perforce
Hands-on code development and integration experience
Experience debugging large-scale systems
- British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
- $96,400 - $133,900 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
