As a Technical Lead on Frostbite Foundation you will work on technologies that are the fundamental building blocks of the Frostbite engine. The team works on low-level technologies that span a range of domains, including concurrency, memory systems, resource loading, and deployment. You will work on a variety of hardware platforms from consoles to mobile.
Reporting to the Director of Engine Development, you will be a part of daily interactions with many of the most experienced engineers in the company to help solve our most engaging problems, you will work on the latest hardware, manage low-level libraries, and you will be part of a team that is passionate about pushing our technologies forward. You will work onsite 3 or more days per week in Burnaby, BC.
Responsibilities:
You will deliver organizationally aligned and risk managed technical plans to bring both Features and Architectural projects to completion on time and at quality.
You will mentor and grow the engineering talent on the team.
You will be accountable for estimation accuracy, software delivery quality and maintainability, automation strategy, and development processes.
You will split your time evenly between leadership and your individual contributions (coding)
Qualifications:
You have 7 years of hands-on experience developing software
You have experience leading a development team or project
Experience working in a large codebase with modern C++
Experience in low-level systems programming for games or a similar, resource constrained environment (embedded devices, robotics, or other relevant area).

- $138,700 - $199,900 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees.
