We are looking for a Data Collection and Organization Specialist to join our team in a remote or hybrid capacity. The role will report to the Executive Producer. You will play a critical part in shaping our AI accelerated future for creators by collecting, curating, and organizing high-quality datasets that serve as the foundation for training machine learning models. Your efforts will directly affect the performance, accuracy, and fairness of our AI systems.
Location (Hybrid or Remote): Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal
Responsibilities
Data Collection: Research and gather data from diverse sources, ensuring it meets the requirements for AI model training.
Data Annotation: Assist with or oversee the labeling, tagging, or structuring of raw data for usability in AI systems.
Data Organization: Develop a systematic, efficient process for storing, retrieving, and managing large datasets.
Quality Assurance: audit datasets for accuracy, relevance, diversity, and bias, ensuring they align with project goals.
Collaboration: Work with AI developers, engineers, and domain experts to understand data requirements and project goals.
Compliance: Ensure all data collection practices follow ethical standards, privacy regulations, and intellectual property laws.
Qualifications
Experience in data collection, curation, or related fields (e.g., research, data analysis, information architecture).
Familiarity with spreadsheets, databases, or data management tools.
Understanding of data privacy, copyright, and compliance regulations.
Basic ability to work with scripting or coding languages such as C# or Python
Experience working with large datasets or quantities of data for various projects.
Familiarity with business software (GSuite, O365) and creative software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Maya).
Knowledge of data annotation tools and processes.
