As an Athlete Marketing Manager at EA SPORTS, you will be an important member of our marketing team, responsible for building and managing strategic relationships with high-profile athletes featured in the EA SPORTS FC franchise. This is a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of sport, gaming, and culture, contributing to a dynamic and innovative global brand.
Reporting to the Athlete Marketing Director, you will play a critical part in supporting growth opportunities across the APAC and MENA regions, partnering with regional and global stakeholders to unlock new audiences and deepen fan engagement. You will help shape and activate athlete-led initiatives that drive brand awareness, cultural relevance, and measurable business impact, ensuring our athletes authentically represent EA SPORTS FC within these high-potential markets.
This role is based in our Guildford, UK office, and is an in office/hybrid role. We require flexibility to work across time zones, with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to support global and regional alignment.
Responsibilities:
Establish relationships with Athletes, their agents, and representation to execute franchise and brand campaigns
Foster business synergies and athlete led activations with a focus on APAC/SEA distributors (Garena, Tencent, Nexon)
Guide and support Asia and MENA territory marketing teams with local athlete and football partner activations
Support historical athlete ambassador plan for FC Mobile and FC Online platforms
Identify tight talent for the region and collaborate with Legal and Business Development teams to ensure all negotiations and agreements protect the interests of EA SPORTS.
Manage Athlete partnership pitch, activation strategy and planning calendars. This includes handling all athlete-related contracted services (Social Posts, Personal Appearances) and asset approval workflow
Collaborate on creative that include Athlete ambassadors to enhance brand visibility and engage target audiences, elevate storytelling with authentic athlete insights
Work closely with cross-functional teams to execute integrated marketing initiatives featuring Athletes; including international talent tours in the regions.
Collaborate with the Social Media team to plan and execute Athlete-related content
Manage communications and all logistic planning related to Athlete engagements.
Track and measure the impact of Athlete-led marketing campaigns, social media performance, and provide regular reports to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in Sports Marketing and/or Brand Marketing
Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative marketing strategies.
Passion for athlete storytelling
Strong project management skills
Strong Global Football culture knowledge
