The Role
As a Game Designer I, you will work with Senior Designers, Producers and XD to create engaging experiences for Ultimate Team players.
You will own smaller features from concept through implementation and support larger features. Your work will help shape systems, progression, rewards, live content, and player experiences that drive engagement while maintaining the competitive integrity of Ultimate Team.
You are passionate about football, competitive multiplayer games, player progression, and live-service design. You bring a strong understanding of football culture and FC Ultimate Team.
Responsibilities
- Design and own small features, improvements, and design problems within the Ultimate Team ecosystem.
- Create clear design documentation and advocate for them to your leads.
- Collaborate with producers and XD teams to bring features from concept through implementation.
- Advocate for the player, and also understanding business, technical, and production needs.
- Stay informed on football culture, industry trends, live-service games, and the competitive gaming landscape.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of professional game design experience.
- Shipped game features, systems, content, or live-service experiences.
- Owned small to medium features as a Game Designer from concept through implementation with guidance from senior team members.
- Understanding of player motivation, progression, rewards, competition, and game systems design.
- Comfortable using feedback, data, playtesting, and iteration to improve player experiences.
- You are active in developing your design craft, and growing toward ownership of larger systems and features.
