What You’ll Do
- Support the design of clear, readable, player-focused UI flows across menus, systems, and in-game moments for Apex Legends.
- Help build and iterate on UX mockups for features such as loadouts, progression, menus, events, social systems, and more.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, game designers, artists, engineers, and QA to understand how Apex’s interface is created and maintained.
- Assist in reviewing usability issues, gathering feedback, and identifying opportunities to streamline player journeys.
- Learn how to design within Apex’s existing visual language, readability standards, and fast-paced gameplay constraints.
- Gain hands-on experience working in a live service environment where clarity, responsiveness, and iteration are key.
What We’re Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree granting program anticipated to graduate no earlier than Dec 2026
- A portfolio (class projects, personal work, prototypes all welcome!) showing UI/UX thinking, visual clarity, and process.
- Interest in Apex Legends, competitive games, or complex systems that require strong UX design.
- Basic understanding of UI/UX principles—layout, hierarchy, contrast, interaction patterns—and eagerness to grow these skills.
- Curiosity about HUD clarity, menu navigation, and how UX influences game readability.
- Willingness to collaborate, take feedback, and iterate quickly.
- Comfort with design tools such as Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar.
Bonus (Not Required)
- Experience working on UI/HUD elements for any game project (school or personal).
- Familiarity with game engines or scripting tools (Unreal, Unity, proprietary engines, etc.)
- Interest in user testing, accessibility, or interpreting player feedback and usability data.
