Our Motive is to develop innovative action games set in iconic worlds where every player feels like the hero. Let's say that again—iconic worlds where every player feels like the hero.
Our passion has taken us from imagining dogfighter pilots in Star Wars™: Squadrons to re-creating Isaac Clarke onboard the Ishimura in Dead Space™. Currently, we're working on two exciting projects, an original Iron Man™ action-adventure game and what's coming next for Battlefield™.
We believe in sharing our passion with our community and each other, fostering an inclusive culture, and nurturing a growth mindset. Although our approach may seem simple, it leads us to create the best work of our careers, bringing unique and immersive experiences to our players.
The Senior Development Director for SAT (North America) is a senior operational leader responsible for driving clarity, predictability, and parallel development across the Shared Asset Team. This role partners as a dual counterpart to the SAT SDD in Europe and works in lockstep with the SDD overseeing ExDev/CoDev to ensure SAT operates as a unified, multi-region organization.
You will play a critical role in evolving and scaling SAT’s operating model, strengthening cross-regional workflows, and enabling high-quality, on-time asset delivery that serves Battlefield development releases, seasonal/live service content, and franchise-wide strategic goals.
This is a collaborative leadership position with focused accountability over North American operations and shared accountability for SAT’s global performance.
Responsibilities:
- Evolve and mature SAT’s operating model, in partnership with SAT EU leadership and the ExDev/CoDev Leadership to ensure shared standards, unified processes, and parallel development across regions.
- Drive the structure, governance, and workflows that enable predictable delivery across character, vehicle, weapon/hardsurface, 2D, and cosmetic asset pipelines.
- Strengthen cross-chapter and cross-franchise collaboration, ensuring SAT’s output aligns with Battlefield priorities and timelines.
- Lead SAT’s North American operational execution, ensuring visibility, prioritization, and clear planning within the region while maintaining alignment with the global SAT structure.
- Partner with the SAT SDD (EU) as a co-lead - jointly responsible for unified ways of working, capacity planning, and delivery expectations across both regions.
- Collaborate with the SDD responsible for ExDev/CoDev to ensure partner teams are properly scoped, directed, and integrated into the SAT factory model.
- Oversee regional capacity planning, cross-team scheduling, long-range forecasting, and resource allocation across internal and external teams.
- Identify regional risks, bottlenecks, and structural gaps; escalate, mitigate, and align with the global SAT leadership triad to maintain predictable outcomes.
- Partner with Finance, RMO, Chapter Directors, and Franchise Ops to ensure financial accountability, accurate reporting, and transparency across SAT operations.
- Establish and maintain reporting processes that provide clear visibility to franchise and chapter leadership — including progress tracking, risk reporting, and milestone alignment.
- Ensure that SAT’s NA workflows integrate cleanly into shared global systems (ShotGrid, Jira, Power BI, etc.), contributing to a unified source of truth across regions.
- Drive continuous improvement practices that enhance workflow efficiency, stability, and quality.
- Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing team of project leaders and operations staff in North America.
- Model inclusive leadership, accountability, and partnership, strengthening collaboration across studios, cultures, and crafts.
- Support talent planning, succession readiness, and sustainable growth within the team and across shared global functions.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years’ experience in production operations, program management, or business operations in AAA game development or similar large-scale creative environments.
- Proven success leading in multi-studio, multicultural, cross-functional organizations.
- Strong experience in operational planning, complex capacity forecasting, and KPI frameworks for creative or asset-driven pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to drive clarity and alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, including Franchise Leadership, Chapter Directors, and Executive partners.
- Deep understanding of AAA asset development workflows, especially shared pipelines and external development models.
- Exceptional communication, influence, and leadership skills.
