The Director of Corporate Communications will report to the Vice President, Corporate
Communications, and lead the development and execution of strategic media and
communications initiatives across policy, government relations, public affairs, and select
financial and strategic business priorities. This role is central to shaping EA’s external
narrative, strengthening the company’s reputation, and driving high-impact media
strategies that support corporate objectives and business growth.
Working in close partnership with Corporate Communications leadership and cross-
functional teams—including Global Affairs, Finance, Legal, and Business Development—
the Director will architect integrated communications campaigns across a broad range of
corporate issues, stakeholder audiences, and global markets, ensuring consistent
messaging and strong alignment with EA’s strategic priorities.
As a senior media strategist and spokesperson, this leader will cultivate influential
relationships with top-tier business, financial, policy, and trade media; identify and drive
proactive storytelling opportunities; counsel executives on positioning and message
strategy; and lead communications planning and response for high-profile, fast-moving,
and complex issues.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates strong
judgment, along with sharp media instincts and strategic acumen.
Your Responsibilities:
Media Relations & Strategic Communications
- Serve as a primary media strategist, spokesperson, and liaison for EA, cultivating relationships with top-tier business, financial, policy, and trade media.
- Lead proactive storytelling and reactive media engagement strategies, including rapid-response communications for high-profile or sensitive issues.
- Develop integrated communications strategies for major announcements, corporate milestones, and strategic initiatives to strengthen credibility and stakeholder confidence.
- Translate complex business, financial, regulatory, and technical topics into clear, compelling narratives that resonate across external audiences.
- Partner with business and communications leaders to support strategic engagement with the company’s ownership group and senior stakeholders.
- Support communications strategy and positioning for mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, investments, and other strategic business initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally to develop executive messaging, media materials, issue- response frameworks, and strategic briefing documents that support effective external engagement.
- Advise and prepare executives for media interviews, public appearances, and external engagements through strategic counsel and message development.
- Collaborate with Global Affairs, Reputation Management, and senior leadership to shape communications strategies around public policy and regulatory issues.
- Monitor the political, regulatory, and media landscape to identify emerging risks and opportunities and inform corporate communications planning.
Experience & Leadership
- 10–12+ years of in-house or agency corporate communications, public affairs, policy communications, or financial communications experience.
- The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in government, technology, entertainment or other regulated sectors.
- Demonstrated experience managing high-profile media, M&A, reputational issues, and sensitive corporate matters.
- Strong understanding of global media, legislative, regulatory, and political dynamic and their business impact.
- Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, high-pressure environments requiring sound judgment and discretion.
- Skilled at cross-functional collaboration and coordination across legal, finance, corporate development, and executive leadership teams.
- Exceptional writing, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
