The UI Engineer will be a part of the game creation process, including architectural design, implementation, and debugging on multiple platforms—working on complex problems with Designers, Artists and other Engineers in domains including rendering, gameplay, audio, user interface, online, physics, databases and tools. You will report to the Operations Development Director and Technical Lead to estimate, build projects and provide excellent results.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software development and can demonstrate good development practices.
- Good grasp of the C++ programming language (including STL), best practices, and architectural considerations.
- Good grasp of common data structures, algorithms and design patterns.
- Good debugging skills and familiarity with memory management.
- Understanding of UI architectural models and best practices.
- Understanding of the XML and JSON formats.
- Experience with Visual Studio and source control systems.
Your Responsibilities
- Work with the game’s UI tech stack.
- Design, implement, test, debug and maintain code for game features or components.
- Architect and document technical designs for game technology and features.
- Measurably improve process and best practices to achieve given targets.
- Collaborate within and across teams of technical and non-technical game developers, locally and remotely.
